1918 Patriotic Songs & Hymns
I found a book of songs from 1918 in an antique shop for like $10 and thought it'd be nice to scan and publish them online in case anyone would like to have the sheet music.
I found a book of songs from 1918 in an antique shop for like $10 and thought it'd be nice to scan and publish them online in case anyone would like to have the sheet music.
I bought it on a lark, but I thought this might be a nice way to memorialize the songs. Many of these don't have entries in Wikipedia or sheet music websites, despite being out of copyright.
The good news is that I've gotten all the files scanned, color corrected, and kind of straightened. The bad news is that I didn't name them until the end so only the minified final files are numbered. If you want larger formats, you'll need to download the originals and resize/recolor them yourself. It's tedious. Use Photoshop macros.
You can find the original cropped scans at this Google Drive link. If you want the original originals, contact me.

Table of Contents & Links
Capitalizations are transcribed to match the Table of Contents of the book. One other interesting note is the 1918 pledge of allegiance printed on the back cover. It turns out some lines were added over the years.
